To support our team, we are looking for an experienced graphic designer & content creator who is passionate about creating appealing designs and refining existing brands. You always keep track of new design & social media trends and can implement them independently and proactively.

Graphic Designer & Content Creator (Parental Leave Substitute)

Your Tasks

• Design and layout of digital and print products as well as creation of brand identities (logos, event agendas, presentations, newsletters, digital magazines, flyers, roll ups, trade show materials, etc.)
• Design & content filling of websites with CMS WordPress
• Content creation for social media (especially LinkedIn & Instagram) - including a proactive attitude in identifying relevant topics and trends
• Creation of short animations or videos for use on social media, websites, presentations or trade shows
• Illustration of scientific concepts to visualize complex projects
• Active involvement in research projects at both national and international levels, including dedicated tasks and leading the Communication & Dissemination work package

Your Profile

• Completed graphic design studies or comparable qualification (Information Design, Communication Design, Interaction Design, Media Design or similar)
• At least 2-3 years of professional experience in graphic design/content creation
• Confident handling of all common design tools (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro etc.)
• Excellent design skills with a commitment to clean layout and attention to detail
• Confident with setting up WordPress based websites, including buying domains, installing WordPress themes, content management, updates, and SEO optimization to improve visibility and performance - experience in Google Analytics is a plus
• Ability to copywrite and convince with striking headlines and fill content independently - this means excellent English skills (written and spoken) - German is a plus
• Experience with social media is a must. We need someone who is familiar with LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube for businesses
• Good eye for photography - portraits, event shots, and even some videography for company projects.
• High level of commitment, sense of responsibility, time management, flexibility and social skills as well as independent and goal-oriented working style
• You provide new ideas and are motivated to always push our designs and proactively implement them
• Further advantage: Experience in proposal writing and as a Work Package (WP) lead for Communication & Dissemination (C&D) in EU and national projects

Salary

The minimum salary is 3,963 EUR gross per month (on a 38.5-hour basis). The actual salary depends on your qualifications and experience.
