Strategic Global Buyer & Process Expert (m/f/d)

We are seeking a passionate and innovative individual to join our dynamic Strategic Business Unit - Compression!

This role is responsible for

  • Development, optimization, training and continuous improvement of Global Purchasing processes (including the consideration of governance/compliance/sustainability topics)
  • Design, review, training and implementation of standard contracts, NDA , GT&C and global templates in alignment with legal department
  • Design, implementation and continuous training/support (key user) of Global Purchasing IT tools (eg Netfira, Softcon, HOE connect, Celonis)
  • Detect risk in supply chain and establish mitigation plans
  • Collaboration within the Global Purchasing network (plants & service) in regard to global commodities/suppliers and Global Purchasing processes/governance
  • Initiation, lead and/or support of Global Purchasing strategic projects' (eg sustainability)
  • Development and implementation of transparent Global Purchasing reporting (operational and financial)
  • Management of tender and Global Purchasing process for productive and non productive goods & services in line with Hoerbiger approval guidelines
  • Global Purchasing team's collaboration & communication, development and training

Requirements

  • Technical and/or economic degree
  • Experience and skills in Strategic Purchasing and Process Management
  • Project Management skills preferable
  • Deep and comprehensive knowledge in economics and business administration
  • Deep understanding of operational purchasing processes preferable
  • Strong proficiency and knowledge in Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel), purchasing software SAP (MM) and preferable in other purchasing IT tools (NETFIRA, SOFTCON, JAGGAER)
  • Knowledge about purchasing governance requirements (sustainability & compliance e.g. conflict minerals, LkSG, sustainability) preferable
  • Team player with good presentation/communication skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical approach and project management skills as well affinity/passion to work with numbers
  • Ability to work independently
  • Willingness to travel (30%)
