Head of Project Management (f/m/d)

Our client is a leading industrial company and currently seeking an experienced Head of Project Management - Project Execution to join the team immediately. This critical role will support the company's transformation process by forming project teams, establishing processes for diverse projects, and fostering collaboration with other entities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage senior project managers and directors for major capital investment projects
• Develop a comprehensive project execution strategy aligned with organizational goals
• Design an efficient organization, leading and motivating international and diverse teams
• Plan the strategic and technological direction of the department, coordinating with relevant units, and prepare short-, mid-, and long-term plans for project execution, contracts, engineering, construction management, and procurement
• Ensure common project execution philosophy, harmonized processes, and continuous optimization
• Provide best-in-class processes and guidelines for on-time and on-budget execution while overseeing the project portfolio
• Establish and maintain a strong network with strategic partners to collaborate on common strategies and contracts
• Define and report KPIs for project execution, and participate in international benchmarking to enhance the department's strategy

Requirements

• Master's degree in technical studies, engineering, business administration, or similar field
• 15+ years of experience in the industrial sector
• Proven expertise in project management, engineering, and contractor management
• Experience in leading and developing senior and international teams
• Strong leadership and people development skills
• Visionary with the ability to inspire others and align with strategic objectives
• Excellent networking and collaboration skills
• Passionate about driving change and innovation
• Results-driven with a focus on setting priorities and making commercially viable decisions
• Fluent in German and English
