Team Lead (m/w/d) Embedded Development

Our client is at the forefront of developing highly secure and reliable hardware products for network-based remote control applications for a wide-range of industries, from air traffic control/airports, manufacturing, financial institutions, film and video, self-driving technologies, and more. Over the past 30 years, they have grown into an international technology leader, with Made in DACH-, eco-friendly, innovative, technologically advanced, and high-quality products. We are looking for a Team Lead for the embedded development team in the Austrian office near Wiener Neustadt. You will be an integral part of the management team, reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the global CTO.

Team Lead Embedded Development (m/w/d)

Your role:

  • Technical and general leadership of the embedded/hardware development team, developing network-based remote control system solutions.
  • Cost and resource planning, as well as requirements management of development projects.
  • Guide the planning of the architecture of new software and hardware solutions, selection of new technologies and tools, and contribute to the expansion of technological advancements.
  • Ability to occasionally support the development of embedded systems by programming C/C++ software.
  • Support the team throughout the entire development process, from designing new products according to specifications, creating, testing, and commissioning prototypes, to managing the effective processing of feature requests and problem reports.
  • Act as an interface to the other development teams at other Group locations as well as cross-department.

Your profile:

  • You have a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, communications engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • In-depth knowledge in the development of embedded systems and associated software applications, and familiarity with C/C++, field-programmable gate arrays, Python, or other scripting languages for process automation.
  • A minimum of 2 years of proven leadership experience.
  • Adept at using project tracking tools (e.g., Jira/Confluence), as well as MS Office and ERP applications, allowing you to navigate digital processes effectively.
  • A precise and independent working style, as well as strong teamwork skills and a high degree of employee orientation.
  • Excellent German and English language skills.
