School Nurse (m/f/d)

The Vienna International School is seeking to appoint a school nurse to work closely with the school doctor, the other school nurses and other relevant school personnel to create a learning environment that meets the physical, mental and emotional needs of our students.

The primary responsibility of our successful candidate will be to provide nursing care and health counselling to students and parents and to assist the school doctor in carrying out the Austrian Health Requirements in the school.

The Vienna International School is an independent, non-profit, K-12 coeducational day school operating in the city of Vienna with almost 280 staff and 1400 students representing over 100 nationalities. Our school is accredited by the Council of International Schools and its curriculum is approved by the Austrian Ministry of Education.

• part-time employment; 35 hours/week
• regular business hours: exact working hours according to an agreed department duty schedule, between 8.00 and 18.00 Monday to Friday.

Your profile:

• Valid national Diploma of Registered Nurse or an in Austria recognized equivalent
• Specialized training in Paediatrics and/or Sports Injuries desirable
• Experience in treating chronic diseases of children (e.g. diabetics) an asset
• Knowledge of Austrian Health System and Services
• Conversational German and English essential
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise
• Ability to communicate and interact in a positive manner in a multicultural environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
