Take on a pivotal role in shaping our global sourcing strategy and join our dynamic team in Vienna as a:

Category Manager Global (all genders)

Your Responsibilities:

• Take global responsibility for a category of mechanical drawing parts (e.g., metal components).
• Conduct market analyses, benchmarking, and global sourcing activities to ensure competitiveness.
• Independently obtain and analyze quotations, negotiate terms, and draft contracts.
• Work closely with departments such as R&D and Sales for internal cost calculations.
• Optimize processes and costs with suppliers, implementing efficiency improvements and cost reduction activities.
• Select, evaluate, and develop the global supplier base.
• Address and resolve issues with both internal and external stakeholders.

Your Profile:

• Completed technical education (University/FH, Technical College) with a focus on mechatronics, mechanical engineering, and/or industrial engineering or equivalent.
• Several years of relevant professional experience in strategic purchasing (or development), ideally in an automotive environment.
• Excellent English skills and proficiency in relevant software (SAP, MS Office); knowledge of German is an advantage.
• Strong commercial acumen with an interest in processes.
• High analytical skills and cross-functional thinking.
• Willingness to travel within Europe and globally.
• High resilience and stress resistance.
