Octapharma specializes in the development of highly pure pharmaceuticals made of human blood plasma. As part of a family-owned enterprise, Octapharma in Vienna is not only the largest production site, but also a successful research location of the Octapharma Group. Since our company continues to grow, we are now hiring for our team: Join us as a Group Senior Process and Technology Expert (m/f/d), where you'll play a crucial role in optimizing production processes and technologies across our pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Group Director of API production, you will ensure operational excellence, efficiency, and quality.

Your new challenges which will inspire you:

  • Process Troubleshooting: Provide expert support for routine bulk production and address major process deviations to maintain product quality
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Develop and review user requirements for manufacturing processes and equipment, and support overall lifecycle management strategies
  • Technology Transfer (TT): Lead technology transfer projects, coordinate the transfer process according to SOPs, and oversee TT plans, reports, and comparability studies
  • Production Efficiency: Monitor technological advancements, define and track KPIs for production performance, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and yield improvement
  • Standardization: Lead projects to standardize processes and equipment across sites, and contribute to corporate standardization documents
  • Cross Functional Collaboration: Develop synergy between sites and host project or technology transfer sessions
  • Strategic Input: Conduct benchmarking across plants, act as a counterpart for TT projects, represent bulk production in supplier discussions, and contribute to equipment decisions

Your profile that will convince us:

  • You have successfully completed a university degree in chemical engineering or a related field, at least at the master's level
  • You bring several years of practical professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry as well as process experience in pharmaceutical production
  • In addition to a data-analytical and scientific mindset, you are proficient in Six Sigma/Lean methods (Black Belt is a plus)
  • You act proactively, in a team-oriented manner, with a sense of responsibility and entrepreneurial thinking, as well as a structured way of working
  • Fluent English skills in both written and spoken form, as well as proficiency in the MS Office package, round out the job requirements

Additional information:

The minimum gross wage according to the collective agreement (chemical industry) for your new job is EUR 4.157,14. We strive to adapt your salary to your range of tasks and to your profile, which is why we are ready to pay wages higher than collectively agreed.
