Optical Transmission Engineer (m/f)

(Vienna; Full-time)

Your Mission:

• Technical support for Optical Transmission equipment- covers WDM, OTN, SDH
• Technical support for projects - project preparation, pre-sales technical support, solution development, solution testing with customers, project delivery with a delivery team
• Provide Level 1 technical support service to the Enterprise customers/partners independently or together with a support L2 team
• Permanent professional improvement and training
• Support our customers/partners from any technical perspective, maintain the good relationship with customers/partners, be responsible for customer/partner satisfaction.

Your Profile:

• Knowledge of Optical Transmission technology - WDM, OTN, SDH and NMS
• Familiar with TCP/IP & OSI protocol stack;
• Knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, IS-IS) and MPLS VPN;
• Knowledge of switching technologies and protocols (Vlans, STP)
• Candidate should have Bachelor Degree or above in Telecommunications/IT,
• and more than 3 years of experience in Optical Transmission area
• Be able to work independently, be self-motivated and willing to learn
• Fluent in English and German - both oral and written
