Responsibilities

• Posting payment receipts and allocating payments daily
• Ensuring the customer accounts are applied correctly (clear open items). Calculating yearend bonus
• Managing customer debt collection and sending dunning letters as needed
• Completing all month-end tasks, including customer statements, generating monthly aging reports, and bank reconciliations
• Handling customer account queries
• Verifying and posting vendor invoices
• Maintain vendor master data
• Monthly payment runs
• Maintaining monthly, quarterly and year end accounting schedules
• Supporting year end audit tasks
• Tax returns (DEB, TVS, VAT, DAS2, CVAE, CFE, IS) - learning tax (Taxe d'apprentissage, declaration de prix de transfert)
• Verifying and processing travel and expense claims
• Communicating effectively and providing solutions with the international sales force to ensure adherence to processes and managing accounts-related queries

Qualifications

• Fluency in both French and English (spoken and written). German is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications is preferred
• Experience in working in an international environment is a plus
• Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting
• Structured, proactive, and organized
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn
• Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure

The role is based in Paris, France or Austria (Linz, Vienna) with the option to work from home.

For this position, we offer a minimum annual gross salary of EUR 44.908,22 (full-time) in accordance with the collective agreement for the metal industry, with a willingness to offer additional pay depending on qualifications.
