  • Oversee the design transfer process, ensuring electrical systems are optimized for manufacturability and assembly.
  • Develop and implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to ensure cost-effective production without compromising quality.
  • Conduct design verification and validation activities, including electrical testing, to ensure product safety and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Ensure all electrical components meet medical device regulations (ISO 60601, ISO 13485, etc.) and are suitable for CE marking and FDA clearance.
  • Support risk management and safety analysis, focusing on electrical hazards, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and reliability testing.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure electrical components meet specifications.
  • Maintain and manage all relevant design documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical files.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design and development in the medical device industry.
  • Experience in design transfer to manufacturing, with knowledge of electrical component production processes.
  • Proficiency in ECAD tools for schematic capture and PCB design (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with ISO 60601, ISO 13485, and other relevant medical device standards.
  • Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
  • Experience in electrical testing and validation, including risk management (ISO 14971).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German is a plus.
