DevOps course updater for e-learning platform - and Student Support Manager
Wien, 30-40 hours per week, mostly Home Office
We run a highly popular tech Youtube channel named "TechWorld with Nana", and we also create premium online courses in the field of DevOps and Cloud Engineering.
Summary:
We are looking to hire a professional course creator and updater in the IT field, specifically for DevOps engineering. You should be a technically accomplished professional with experience in video and program editing. You will be responsible for ensuring that our courses stay current as new technologies evolve. Additionally, you will provide technical support to our students, answering questions and troubleshooting issues related to course content. A strong background in these areas is essential to succeed in this role.
About the course-updating part of this job:
- 80% of your time is spent on updating our pre-recorded tutorials, meaning the videos, git repositories, handouts etc.
- Our courses involve different technologies, such as:
Linux, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, AWS EKS, Ansible, Terraform, Python. So you will update our courses one-by-one, each module at a time, with the latest versions of those technologies, any UI updates etc. - One important part of the update process is that it's absolutely transparent for you and us, at any time, to know which updates have been made, and which updates are being made etc.
- We expect you to work alongside our engineers collaboratively and use your initiative to decide what needs to be done when, without any detailed instructions from us. This includes, researching which important updates need to be done for a specific technology, checking what has changed since the creation of our bootcamp, which demo projects aren't working any more or work differently due to the update in any certain technology.

About the Student-Support aspect of this job:
- 20% of your time goes into helping and mentoring students.
- Your main objective in this part of the role will be to guarantee the success of thousands of our DevOps and Cloud engineering students. Within this responsibility, you will be directly communicating with and supporting our students. You will help them solve any issues, even motivating and coaching them in their learning process through our online programs.
- You will actively outreach and answer questions of our students, via different types of communication channels, such as video calls, email, Discord chat etc. These could be technical engineering questions around DevOps and Cloud, or even career-service related questions.
- You will take pride in helping students with any issues they have during the learning process in all our Cloud courses and DevOps Bootcamps. You will have the authority and "own" customer satisfaction in our company.
- You should have access to and expertise in both Windows and Mac operating systems.

Technical skills required
- Experience (minimum 2 years) and knowledge of DevOps technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, AWS, EKS, Python.
- Plus 2 years of general experience in working in IT.
- Experience and knowledge in creating courses or making updates to courses around DevOps technologies.
