We are looking for a strategic Public Affairs Manager to lead our policy efforts in Austria, Czech Republic, and Hungary. You will implement our public affairs strategy, engage with key decision-makers, and influence regulatory environments to drive business growth. As Public Affairs Manager for AUT, HU & CZ, you will oversee these markets as part of a dynamic team. Based in Vienna or Budapest, this role is all about driving dynamic regional growth. You'll collaborate closely with diverse teams and key stakeholders to make a real impact, without the responsibility of managing people directly.

Your responsibilities

  • Driving initiatives: Development and implementation of public affairs strategies, drafting of position papers and participation in working groups.
  • Stakeholder management: Build and manage strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Market insights: Understand and communicate high-level market dynamics and political developments.
  • Risk mitigation: Identify risks early and collaborate with internal teams to address issues before they escalate.
  • Agency collaboration: Work closely with external agencies to ensure effective legislation monitoring and successful policy initiatives in all covered markets.
  • Opportunity identification: Seek collaboration opportunities and foster strategic partnerships that advance our business and policy objectives.
  • Internal reporting: Regularly report key issues and updates to the regional team and other internal stakeholder.

  • Based on full-time employment (38.5 hours per week), we offer an annual gross salary starting at EUR 65,000 (all-in) depending on your qualifications and experience and the location you would be based in. In addition, you will also receive an Employee Share Purchase Plan.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Politics, Communications, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in public policy, government affairs, or a similar role.
  • Experience working with digital platforms, e-commerce, or agency environments is highly valued.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
  • Excellent prioritization, structured thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Self-driven, independent, and able to take initiative.
  • Energetic and driven to make an impact in a fast-paced, evolving industry.
  • Proficiency in English (other languages are a plus, depending on location).
