Hardware and Procurement Engineer

Mid/Senior

Job Tasks

  • Placing orders for ongoing projects for hardware components, equipment, and supplies.
  • Researching vendors and suppliers to identify products that meet quality standards and budget requirements.
  • Collaborating with project managers and engineers to ensure timely delivery of hardware components to support project timelines.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and reordering supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Tracking orders and shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues or delays.
  • Maintaining accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information for reference and reporting purposes.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation for hardware specifications.
  • Other inferior tasks can apply as exceptional cases.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
  • Field-related work experience of minimum three years.
  • Proficiency in procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends, evaluate supplier capabilities, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Experienced in designing 2D and 3D CAD-constructions, especially with Fusion 360.
  • Knowhow in the low tension field.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and establishing vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of quality hardware.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand hardware requirements and specifications for various projects.
  • Conducting market research to stay updated on regulatory requirements, compliance standards, industry trends, new technologies, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Managing inventory levels and maintaining accurate records of purchases and supplies.
  • Overseeing the testing, installation, and maintenance of hardware systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshooting hardware problems, diagnosing issues, and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.

Salary

  • Salary according to the IT collective agreement. Willingness to overpay.
