About the job

The health and safety of our people are our top priority and as our new Health & Safety (H&S) Expert you will greatly contribute to this important mission. Reporting directly to our Head of Health & Safety, you will work in the field of coaching and sustaining leadership competences regarding safety, implementing and transforming our Health and Safety culture. In this position, you will be travelling regionally & globally up to approx. 80% of your working time.

In addition, your tasks will include:

  • Developing safety guidelines and tools and implementing them together with RHIM managers across the entire group
  • Assessing the maturity of management practices related to safety
  • Giving visibility to the safety topic by engaging the leadership and changing mindsets
  • Monitoring progress and identifying challenges
  • Leveraging feedback to drive continuous improvements at RHIM sites

About You

You are a strong communicator with a collaborative attitude. With your great enthusiasm and creative mindset, you bring new ideas to the table, not only as an individual but also together with your colleagues. You work well in cross-functional teams and are not afraid to take responsibility and make decisions. With your hands-on mentality, structured approach and analytical skills, you proactively seek to improve the status quo. You see change as something positive, can adapt quickly and you like to courageously help shaping the future of RHI Magnesita.

What we expect from you in terms of

Education & Skills

  • A technical or engineering background (e.g., a technical high school/HTL or university degree)
  • Alternatively, a background in communication related to Health & Safety topics
  • A certification as a safety officer is a plus

Languages

  • English - Proficient/Fluent
  • German - Proficient/Fluent

Work Experience

  • Several years of relevant working experience, ideally in Health and Safety or Coaching

The annual gross salary for this position will start from EUR 80.000,00 on a full-time basis, depending on your qualification and experience, as well as the amount of overtime and your level of seniority. We will make sure to offer you a competitive salary package that values your relevant background and that's in line with market values.
