Group Expert, Health and Safety (W / M / D)

Position: Group Expert in Health & Safety
Location: Flexible (Austria, Linz)

We are seeking a Group Expert in Health & Safety to join our team at LAT Nitrogen, where you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of safety across our operations.

Role Overview:
As the Group Expert in Health & Safety, you will be responsible for Occupational Health & Safety with a primary focus on ensuring safety in the workplace and on production sites. Additionally, you will oversee security measures to safeguard our people and assets. You will work closely with local specialists to drive safety initiatives , reduce risks, and promote best practices across LAT Nitrogen's international locations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert advice and support to ensure occupational health & safety best practices are followed, with a focus on workplace and construction site safety.
  • Monitoring safety protocols and developing strategies to continuously improve safety standards across all locations.
  • Managing and improving security measures to protect employees and company assets.
  • Developing and implementing safety training programs and tools to enhance skills and competencies in the organization.
  • Reporting and analyzing safety performance indicators (KPIs) and ensuring regular follow-up.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards by performing audits on our locations.
  • Adopting our Group processes and practices to changing legal requirements and to include best industry practices.
  • Engaging with external parties (authorities, insurers, stakeholders) to ensure the integration of external developments into LAT Nitrogen's safety strategy.

About you:

  • University degree in Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Health & Safety, with a focus on occupational safety and construction site safety.
  • Experience in security management is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English and either French or German is required.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to work in an international, multi-cultural environment.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to act as an internal consultant.
