The Powder Solutions division is a world-leading provider of tungsten powders and metal powder for manufacturing technologies such as Metal Injection Molding and 3D printing. We serve a wide customer base spanning industries including automotive, aerospace, energy, infrastructure, electronics, tooling and mining. With unique expertise and extensive experience, coupled with a strong focus on sustainability, we're well-equipped to further strengthen our current position and foster the growth of our business.
Your mission and responsibilities:
In this newly created position you report to the Division CFO and ensure compliance with all laws, regulations and company policies.
- You ensure and monitor implementation of Sandvik resp. Powder Solutions standards according to the Compliance House for all Divisional Sites.
- You ensure and monitor awareness and compliance with the policies and procedures of The Sandvik Way and the ethical and sustainable business practices of the Sandvik Code of Conduct in all functions and for all Divisional sites.
- You are coordinating and being responsible for the Enterprise Risk management for Powder Solutions.
- As Data Protection Coordinator you ensure compliance with data protection laws, provide guidance for the organization's adherence to data protection regulations and keep the organization updated on changes.
- In your responsibility for the maintenance of the legal database and the administration of all approval notices, you are monitoring the implementation of official requirements and legal prescriptions for Wolfram Austria.
- You are responsible for the public authority engineering (GewO, BauG, AWG, WRG, MinroG etc.) within Austria.
- You lead the Governance & Regulations team by developing people, department, and processes
- With your team you are responsible for formulating and enforcing the principles of responsible sourcing of raw materials and you collaborate with international organizations to be able to influence future developments in the field of responsible raw material sourcing as far as possible.
- You coordinate with SMS compliance and internal departments to ensure compliance policies are implemented across the organization and advise management and employees on compliance matters and best practices.
- Furthermore, you will represent the Powder Solutions Division in different fora across Sandvik Machining Solutions and collaborate with external entities such as regulatory authorities and auditors.
Your background and profile
We are looking for someone with in-depth knowledge and experience in managing compliance requirements, wanting to be the central hub for a well-organized compliant organization.
- You have a bachelor's degree in Law, Business, or a related field and comprehensive knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in the compliance domain
- You work proactively and systematically with an analytical mindset and ability to assess complex compliance risks.
- We act in global context which calls for fluency in English (written and spoken) as well as German.
- You have first experience in leading a team and a passion for developing and empowering people.

The location for this position is preferably at our headquarters at Wolfram in St. Martin / Austria while other locations in Europe might be an option for the right candidate with approx. 50% of the time presence at the site. As this is a global role international travel is included in your job. Based on the collective bargaining agreement we offer you an annual gross salary starting from EUR 85.000 for fulltime. Your actual salary will be market competitive and takes individual qualification and experience into account.
