Finance Manager Austria & Slovakia (m/w/d) for a global logistics company - Remote possible

Our client is a global logistics company headquartered in Seattle, Washington with more than 19,000 employees and a global network of more than 350 locations on 6 continents. The Austrian branch, with around 50 employees is located near Schwechat and is looking for a Finance Manager Austria & Slovakia.
Your responsibilities
- In this position you will be in charge of the preparation and review of departmental P&Ls, quarterly & annual financial statements, and annual budgets
- You will liaise with external advisors on the preparation of statutory financial information and tax computations
- Furthermore, you will oversee the day to day accounting operations including A/R, A/P, Credit, GL, Capital Expenditure, Payroll, VAT, Treasury, Revenue Recognition and Cost Accounting
- In addition you will prepare timely internal monthly accounts (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cashflows, and Analysis) for review by the regional and global accounting teams
- You will also conduct reviews and evaluations for cost reduction opportunities and drive initiatives to promote efficient and cost effective operations
- On top you will provide financial and accounting expertise and support for the regional business operations management teams (budgets etc.)
- Proactively communicate with his/her team to ensure continuous awareness and understanding of policies and regulations
- The management of a small accounting team is also part of your responsibility
Your profile
- You offer a relevant bachelor's or master's degree
- 5 + years of Accounting and Finance experience in Austria and Slovakia
- Good command of Slovak, English and German at minimum B2
- High level of Austrian und Slovakian tax and regulatory knowledge
- Experience in compliance and internal controls
- UGB & preferably US GAAP experience .
- Good knowledge of MS Office, including Excel Formulas and Pivot Tables

For this position the monthly gross salary starts at 6.000 EUR. Depending on your qualification and experience an overpayment is possible.
