Head of Technical Development & Training (m/f/d)
The Head of Technical Development and Training (m/f/d) manages daily activities of a centralized technical service team. The primary goal of this role is delivering technical developments and training to internal and external customers. He ensures a swift and failure-free cooperation with all other functions participating in the technical service process, Life Cycle Engineering and New Product Developments.

Your Responsibilities:
- Leads the technical development of Service NPI, Training and EHS departments
- Drives service requirement definition for technical development, NPI and training excellence
- Oversees engineering projects and establishes tooling development, supporting the global tooling department & global workshop guidelines
- Owns internal interface towards engineering and ensures set up of strong alignment processes
- Leads global training operations & content development, ensuring strategic alignment and continuous improvement
- Ensures compliance with all EHS standards
- Drives enhancements in training & EHS systems to maintain global compliance and excellence
- Actively manages and develops the interface to all relevant functions within Global Service Excellence and all other INNIO functions involved
- Coordinates and engages in appropriate training for employees on processes and procedures
- Develops engine platforms, balance of plant and digitalization from a technical service view
- Provides input for regional and global Service strategy
- Optimizes processes and delivers efficiency on Technical Services by strong collaboration with technical service excellence department
- Evaluates service hardware, engine controls and quality and works on improvement
- Monitors and delivers according to KPIs set for the the department and own area of responsibility
Your Profile:
- Significant years of management experience in an internationally operating company in relevant industry (Combustion Engines, Power Generation or Oil & Gas segment)
- Profound years of experience in management roles in the field of engineering / technical service - ideally in Service Engineering/Life Cycle Productivity Management
- Proven track of successful managing diverse, cross functional and multidisciplinary teams and managing large scale projects
- Academic requirements: Technical degree in Industrial Engineering (or similar), in addition ideally business degree/MBA
- Excellent technical background, complemented by strong business acumen including excellent IT skills (in particular regarding ERP-Systems like Oracle and MyPlant)
- Strong negotiation and facilitating skills
- Strong strategy development and implementation skills
- Strong problem solving and influencing skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to interact smoothly at all levels of the organization
- Ability and willingness to travel if needed
- Strong change agent and continuous improvement mindset
- Fluency in English and German
The base pay is composed of the amount according to the Austrian collective agreement which is at least EUR 5.690,55 gross per month (x14) and an over payment depending on your qualifications and experience.
