Job Description

During your thesis project, we expect you to become a growing expert for power distribution systems for the fast growing market of autonomous robots and drones. This means you will need to acquire some special knowledge and perform dedicated tasks:

  • Learn about possible technologies available today for power distribution
  • Improve your skills in power electronics and power conversion
  • Evaluate the existing power distribution systems for mobile robots and drones together with your supervisors and partner universities
  • Develop a power distribution system for a safe and reliable multicopter
  • Apply this methodology to a new multicopter platform of a partner company
  • Document your results by writing and submitting your Master Thesis

This thesis has to be written in cooperation with an university.

Type of employment: Temporary / Full-time (flexible working hours from Monday to Friday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.)
Duration: min. 6 months

Profile

Your Profile
You are a Master student covering the area of Electronics, Power Electronics, Robotics or Mechatronics with a strong ambition for power technologies, electric power conversion and making things work.

You are best equipped for this Thesis position if you:

  • Have completed all of your exams
  • Provide some knowledge and experience in semiconductors and electronics
  • Be able to communicate well with our international team in English and German
  • Bring good communication and organizational skills

This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry (full-time), employment group D for master students (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2024.pdf).
