Project Engineering Manager (f/m/d)


A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Project Engineering Manager (m/f/d) at Siemens Energy, you will lead a diverse team of engineering experts across various fields to support energy transformation initiatives, including EPC of Combined Cycle Power Plants, HVDC projects, FACTS SynCon projects, and Hydrogen plants. You will engage with external and internal partners on technical matters, handle engineering-related risks and opportunities, and ensure adherence to technical contract execution and documentation requirements. This role is crucial for advancing our planet's decarbonization efforts and supporting Siemens Energy's business portfolio.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Pivotal projects in advancing our planet's decarbonization effort and supporting the electrical grid projects in line with the Siemens Energy business portfolio, encompassing Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP) in a global environment. Furthermore, High Voltage Direct Current projects (HVDC), FACTS SynCon projects and Hydrogen plants (H2) will be part of that scope.
  • Ability to craft the future of energy through engagements with external business partners (customers, consultants, authorities, suppliers) and internal partners, primarily focusing on technical matters
  • Lead, integrate, and mentor the Engineering team, comprising diverse engineering fields (e.g., electrical, controls & instrumentation, process, mechanical, civil, plant layout, etc.), is critical for building a cohesive team and pursuing common objectives in bid or execution projects
  • Effectively handle engineering-related risks and opportunities and adhere to technical contract execution and documentation requirements

What You Bring

  • University degree, preferably within the field of Mechanical-, Electrical- or Process Engineering or related fields and with 10 years of experience. At least 5 years of experience in technical project management
  • Preferably experience in the area of power plants and power plant equipment with site and commissioning experience
  • Demonstrated ability in related Engineering fields from the power generation, power transmission, power distribution and EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) market
  • Customer focus: capability of changing perspectives and adapting strategies and actions to meet the needs of the dynamic environment
  • Ability to lead an international, globally dispersed Engineering team with expertise in various engineering fields to achieve the highest performance results
  • Flexibility and willingness to be present for limited periods (max. 25%) at customers, on sites and at 3rd parties around the globe as per project needs.

At Siemens Energy we offer competitive compensation and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. Due to the Austrian legal regulations, we are obliged to state the minimum salary for this position. Please note that there is a clear willingness for a higher compensation considering your individual expectations, expertise and skills. The minimum salary for this position in the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry is in the amount of 64.308,- EUR gross/year for a full-time position (38,5 h/week).
