Plant Layout Lead Engineer (f/m/d)


A Snapshot of Your Day

Your day begins with a dedicated focus time where you outline your working agenda. Following this, you prepare for initial meetings with internal colleagues to strategize for upcoming client negotiations. You then incorporate the latest inputs into your layout. If working remotely, you may need to meet with layout contributors via Microsoft Teams, collaborating with the interdisciplinary project team to identify improvements and solutions for the layout concept. In the afternoons, you might have customer meetings to present and discuss the plant layout, gathering early feedback from the client. Subsequently, you could participate in internal meetings with the project team to determine the next steps in the design process.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • You coordinate the complete Plant Layout scope regarding all aspects for Combined Cycle Power Plants, Power-to X, Grid stabilization and other projects in R&D, proposals and execution
  • You lead the international Plant Layout team in a professional manner to project success
  • You develop, communicate, and negotiate technical solutions internally and externally
  • You clarify interfaces with vendors, designers, and consultants
  • You organize and coordinate meetings and design reviews with the internal team, the customer, and other partners
  • You are involved in the 3D model activities and are responsible for the quality of the design, including 3-D piping design, calculation and preparing and/or checking the input for pipe material purchasing

What You Bring

  • University degree in mechanical engineering. Alternatively, you have a education in a technical field (e.g. HTL) with corresponding professional experience
  • Professional experience in turnkey project execution, ideally in the field of Power - and other Industrial Plants
  • Leadership and communication skills as well as motivation, willingness to learn and passion for the job
  • Willingness for international travelling
  • Fluent English skills, German (B1 level) is a plus
  • Knowledge of 3D-CAD tools (preferably Aveva E3D, Autodesk inventor), designing piping systems including support concepts and pipe stress calculation software (preferably Rohr2, Caesar II)

At Siemens Energy we offer competitive compensation and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. Due to the Austrian legal regulations, we are obliged to state the minimum salary for this position. Please note that there is a clear willingness for a higher compensation considering your individual expectations, expertise and skills. The minimum salary for this position in the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry is in the amount of 51.314,34 EUR gross/year for a full-time position (38,5 h/week).
