Group Central Compliance and Strategy is a department in Group Compliance which acts as overarching oversight unit between group compliance functions and Erste Group subsidiaries and branches. Its responsibilities include the definition and management of the Group compliance oversight framework, the management of the compliance project program and portfolio as well as the development and performance of the data analytics capability.An effective management of the group governance framework in the area of compliance is a crucial success factor for achieving the Group Compliance Strategy. In your role you will be collaborating with a variety of group-wide and internal stakeholders to draft, implement and manage the key components of the compliance governance framework.
Your Tasks
- Enhance and maintain the group-wide compliance governance framework and policy
- Develop oversight and ensure implementation of existing compliance topics
- Act as a key contact for Compliance strategy, providing input on strategic direction
- Contribute to the development of Group Compliance strategy, plan, and risk appetite
- Lead or participate in compliance change-the-bank activities, ensuring group-wide interests are considered
- Ensure group-wide communication and interaction between group and local compliance functions
- Enhance and coordinate group compliance reporting
Your Background
- University degree in Economics, Law, Business, or IT
- At least 5 years of experience in Compliance or Risk Management within Banking Institutions or relevant organizations (e.g. national / international authorities, consulting services)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders across Erste Group CEE entities
- Ability to independently prepare presentation materials for senior management, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience in agile work organizations, advanced technical and data analytical skills would be an advantage
- Fluent in German and English; knowledge of any CEE language is an advantage

- The minimum wage for this full-time position in accordance with the collective agreement with complete fulfillment of the functional profile is EUR 48.323,-- gross per year. But this is just a formality - we would be happy to talk about your actual salary in person!
