Job Description
As a Principal Product Definition Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Proactively observe emerging trends, technological advancements, and market requirements to conceptualize innovative product ideas
• Define product requirements and specifications in collaboration with internal teams, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives
• Support feasibility studies to validate the technical and market viability of potential products, focusing on innovation and practicality
• Investigate alternatives during the definition phase, assessing risks and incorporating innovative solutions into the product roadmap
• Act as the technical authority for product definition within the Business Line (BL) or Functional Area, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
• Take a leading role in defining technical direction for products and ensuring seamless execution of product definition processes
• Share knowledge and promote best practices across organizational boundaries to enhance collaboration and innovation
• Establish yourself as a technical thought leader within the organization and in the broader technical community
• Build and maintain a strong professional network within your industry and technical domain to stay at the forefront of innovation
• Demonstrate deep technical understanding in your area of expertise, with the ability to translate technical advancements into product requirements
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, and manufacturing, to ensure product requirements are well understood and executed

• An exceptional ability to address and resolve complex challenges systematically and collaboratively
• Strong communication and leadership skills to influence technical decision-making and foster knowledge transfer across teams
• A robust professional network within the industry and active engagement with technical communities and thought leaders

For Villach/Austria - We offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. The employment is in accordance with the collective salary and wage agreement for employees of the electrical and electronics industry, employment group XY (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2023.pdf). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. We offer a higher compensation depending on your expertise and skills
